Do-or-die for Amakhosi in Confederation Cup

KAIZER Chiefs will have the chance to redeem themselves when they host Angolan side Kabuscorp in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup first preliminary round tomorrow at FNB Stadium (3pm kickoff).

Amakhosi head into the clash trailing 1-0 on aggregate after suffering defeat in last weekend’s opener at the 11 November Stadium in Luanda.

Their preparation has not been ideal, with a 1-1 draw against Marumo Gallants on Wednesday stretching their winless run to three games, following what had been a strong start to the season.

The contest is a door-die affair for Chiefs, as only a victory will be enough to keep their continental campaign alive.

With head coach Nasreddine Nabi’s future still unresolved, the responsibility again falls to his assistants Cedric Kaze and Khalil Ben Youssef to plot a turnaround and steer the side into the group stages.
