Covid-19 campaigners as inquiry concludes

- BY MARTIN BAGOT Health Editor

BEREAVED families vowed on the last day of the Covid Inquiry that the fight for justice goes on.

Families gathered outside Dorland House in London yesterday to demand that lessons are learned.

The final day heard evidence from Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice UK campaigners. Speaking outside the hearing, co-founder Matt Fowler said: "Thousands of lives cut short because of government incompetence, chaos and callousness that is what this inquiry has exposed.

"Over the next two years, the inquiry will publish further reports on healthcare, PPE, care homes, and more. Those reports will give us a blueprint for saving lives.

"We will pursue accountability for the deaths of our loved ones through every route available to us.

"We will fight to remove Covid crooks from the Lords and any public office they might still cling to.

"We will ensure that the country continues to remember those we lost and the cost that the pandemic continues to exact on everyone.
