Leigh old-boy Asiata braced for Hull of a test from big-hitter Ipape and co

HULL'S John Asiata reckons it will be "pretty cool" tackling his old side Leigh tonight - even if he will have to dodge fierce hitter Edwin Ipape.

The combative Aussie loose forward became a cult hero in his three seasons with Leopards after leading them to promotion, Challenge Cup glory for the first time in 52 years (below) and also into the play-offs twice.

But Asiata surprisingly packed all that in to sign a lucrative deal at Hull, where he has enjoyed a decent start.

The East Yorkshire club, who managed just three Super League victories last season, have already won at Catalans and Huddersfield to offer encouraging signs.
