New footage shows Princess on famous trip to landmine site

JUST months before her death, all Princess Diana wanted to talk about was her sons William and Harry.

Rare behind-the-scenes footage, broadcast for the first time, captures the former Princess of Wales off-guard as she prepares to talk on camera.

Filmed as she visited Angola in January 1997 in support of a worldwide ban on landmines, she sits down to chat with journalists who now tell how she later wanted to talk privately about her sons, aged 14 and 12 at the time.

ITV's then Africa Correspondent Steve Scott said: "I stood with her on the plane all the way back. It was a long conversation. She wanted to talk about her boys and about how much she missed them when she goes away.
