SHOCKING photos show giant rats invading the streets of Birmingham during the city's ongoing bin strikes.

The huge rodents are making life hell for thousands of residents in the Small Heath district. They have been rooting for food in giant rubbish mountains and jumping out of overflowing wheelie bins.

Furious locals say some of the rats, which pose a serious health risk, are the size of small cats.
