Rapist wants parole after he was recalled to prison

A BRITISH terror suspect and associate of fugitive the White Widow is making a freedom bid after being recalled to jail.

Jermaine Grant - who has links to White Widow Samantha Lewthwaite has been in a UK prison since August when he was deported from Kenya, where he had been behind bars for 13 years.

Grant was detained at Heathrow and arrested on suspicion of being a member of Islamist militant group al-Shabaab, and recalled to prison for breaching licence conditions over a 1999 rape conviction.

If his parole bid is successful he could be freed later this year.
