Starmer and Macron 'did nothing to end the war'

US President Donald Trump has said Keir Starmer and France's Emmanuel Macron have not done anything to end Russia's war with Ukraine.

On a Fox News podcast, Mr Trump was asked about upcoming talks with the leaders, saying: "They didn't do anything... no meetings with Russia!" It came as a Cabinet minister Pat McFadden said Europe must do more to contribute to its defence and the UK must play a leading role.
