A new book by Sacramento district attorney Thien Ho, The People vs. the Golden State Killer, lays bare the investigation that finally led to Joseph DeAngelo's conviction.

DeAngelo, now 78, is serving multiple life sentences without parole after admitting to 13 murders, at least 50 rapes and more than 100 burglaries in California between 1974 and 1986.
