Rising Spanish star Puig is following in Seve's footsteps

LIV GOLF star David Puig hopes he is on the “right path" to emulate his hero Seve Ballesteros after becoming the first Spanish winner of the BMW Australian PGA since the Ryder Cup legend.

Puig (left and above) was the first college player to join LIV and turn pro in 2022.

Now the Spaniard, 24 next week, has won his maiden DP World Tour title. He had two strokes to spare over China's Wenyi Ding after closing with a bogey-free 66 at Royal Queensland.
