Five killed as more than 50 missiles and 500 attack drones hit Ukraine

AT least five people were killed in a huge Russian missile and drone blitz on Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky said yesterday.

The Ukrainian president said Russia launched more than 50 missiles and around 500 attack drones overnight.

Four people died in the western region of Lviv, bordering Poland, where an industrial park was set ablaze.

A young resident was seen being evacuated by rescuers in Lviv, too.

One person was killed in the southeastern Zaporizhzhia region. Crews also gave first aid to people during a blaze.

And a car was seen on fire in the courtyard of a residential building in Zaporizhzhia.
