Bake Off judge quits ...and says 'I'm 86 for goodness sake'

DAME Prue Leith has confirmed she is stepping down as a judge on The Great British Bake Off.

The telly favourite, who turns 86 next month, said she has "genuinely loved" working on the programme for the past nine series.

She has judged more than 400 challenges alongside Paul Hollywood, since 2017, when the popular baking show moved from the BBC to Channel 4.

She took over the judging job from Dame Mary Berry, who left in 2016.

Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding are the current Bake Off presenters.
