SOCIAL climbing spider monkeys swap “insider knowledge” about where to find the best fruit trees in the forest by constantly changing their social circles, research found.

The matey primates regularly branch out into new social subgroups, which enables them to share tips about where food is, scientists said.

The study involved scientists from Heriot-Watt University, the University of Edinburgh and the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
