MORE than 80 police officers were drafted in to investigate the Southport stabbings, an inquiry has heard.
Detective Chief Inspector Jason Pye said 37 of the officers were assigned to supporting families of those affected.
Merseyside Police received support from neighbouring forces, he said, as he thanked them for their assistance.
