Pendant linked to Henry VIII's first marriage saved in £3.5m win for museum

A GOLD pendant linked to Henry VIII's first marriage to Catherine of Aragon has been saved after the British Museum raised £3.5million.

The Tudor Heart may have been created for a tournament held in 1518 to mark the betrothal of their daughter Mary to the French heir apparent. It has Catherine's pomegranate symbol with the Tudor rose and the word “tousiors”, old French for “always”.
