Littler will Phil World title boots

LUKE LITTLER has warned his darts rivals that he has the hunger to chase down Phil Taylor's record of 16 world titles.

The 18-year-old swatted Gian van Veen aside 7-1 to become the first player since Gary Anderson in 2016 to win a second consecutive world title.

Despite barely being old enough to buy a pint, Littler also became just the fourth player to get to 10 PDC major titles and the first to scoop the new £1million Ally Pally prize.

But Luke the Nuke claimed he is just getting warmed up.

When asked about reaching Taylor's breathtaking record, Littler replied: "I think I could if I stay around for long enough and keep the hunger.
