'Unknown' WWI soldiers finally identified

THREE British soldiers who died in the First World War have finally been identified and given proper memorial services.

The men from Cornwall, East Yorkshire and Lanarkshire were unknown when they were buried in Belgium.

The services for L Cpl James Ball Baron, 29, L Cpl Samuel Chapman, 19, and 2nd Lt Hugh Barr, 28, were held at the cemeteries they were laid to rest at.

They were organised by the MoD's Joint Casualty and Compassionate Centre, also known as the War Detectives, and attended by serving soldiers from their regiments.
