Keir stands up for Khan over Trump Sharia jibe

KEIR Starmer last night branded Donald Trump's vile Sharia law attack on the London Mayor Sadiq Khan “ridiculous”.

The US President launched into an extraordinary rant on Tuesday afternoon about Mr Khan that the capital's leaders “want to go to Sharia law”.

Mr Khan - who has no such plans - then accused Trump of being “racist”, and “Islamophobic”.

Asked by ITV London about the President’s attack, Mr Starmer defended the mayor.
