Katie's acid ex freedom bid in weeks

THE evil ex-boyfriend who ordered an acid attack on Katie Piper could be free within weeks.

Daniel Lynch has been granted a parole hearing next month.

He was jailed for life with a minimum of 16 years in 2009 after instructing Stefan Sylvestre to throw sulphuric acid in the model's face.

Two days earlier, he had raped Katie and stabbed her several times in her arms in a hotel room.

Lynch, 48, will now appear before the Parole Board on June 3 and 4, a spokesman for the board confirmed.

He had been allocated a private two-day hearing last July but it was adjourned at the last minute and a new date has only just been set due to complex issues involving the case.
