Hamnet star's award triumph

HAMNET star Jessie Buckley continued her winning streak with another triumph at the Actor Awards.

Having already scooped a Golden Globe, a Bafta and a Critics' Choice award for her role as Shakespeare's wife Anne Hathaway, the Irish actress was again named Best Actress at the ceremony in Los Angeles celebrating the finest performances in TV and film.

Jessie, 36, stars in the hit film about the death of Shakespeare's 11-year-old son Hamnet, with Paul Mescal as the young Bard.

Accepting the award, she said: "I want to like take a minute to see all these incredible, inspiring faces and souls in front of me. I have been categorically changed by so many people in this room and beyond."
