Coldplay’s Chris jokes there were more in toilets at Wembley than at private gig he played for charity
CHRIS Martin might have been expected to put his feet up for a bit after concluding the final show of Coldplay's 10-night run at Wembley on Friday.
But the frontman had yet another show lined up the following night - which was shrouded in secrecy.
We can reveal the singer did a private gig on Saturday evening, for which he was rumoured to have been paid a sum “in the millions” - and it is understood his fee will be donated to various charitable endeavours.
After playing to crowds of 82,000 people at Wembley, the 48-year-old Fix You singer delighted a far smaller audience of around 70 party-goers. At one point, Chris told the lucky guests: “There were more people in the toilets at Wembley than there are here”.
And he referenced the end of Coldplay's epic tour by joking: “I'm now unemployed”.
