Lad's family speaks as hit-run driver sentenced

THE family of a boy left dying in the road after a hit-and-run crash have blasted the driver but say they have now forgiven him.

William Brown, seven, was struck by Stewart Powell's van, throwing him into the path of another car.

The driver saw William lying in the road after hitting him with the grey Peugeot but left the scene.

William was pronounced dead at the scene on the A259 Sandgate Esplanade in Folkestone, Kent, the town's magistrates heard yesterday.
