Now 20 years old, Sprinter Sacre has been in the care of Gloucestershire-based Vicki Roberts since his retirement. A social media storm erupted Tuesday evening after Roberts launched a GoFundMe page to raise £5,000 for treatment after Sprinter Sacre, who won 18 races and over £1.13million in prize money in the colours of former owner Caroline Mould, suffered an accident at home. To stifle a public row as to who should foot the bill, the Seven Barrows trainer (right) said: “It would appear there has been some confusion over a GoFundMe page set up for Sprinter Sacre.
