Israel fires on Palestinians taking refuge

ISRAELI troops shelled a school in northern Gaza yesterday, injuring Palestinians who were sheltering there.

The attack in Beit Hanoun happened amid fears Hamas fighters have regrouped in some of the most embattled areas in the city.

It is not yet known how many refugees were hurt at al-Shawa School, where thousands had retreated.

Israel's shelling of it came as family and friends mourned the seven people killed in Wednesday's strike on a house belonging to the Al-Shami family in the Nuseirat camp.
