ARTHUR Fery revealed he “loves big stages" after a case of deja vu got him off to a flying start at the Australian Open.
Britain's world No. 186 stunned Flavio Cobolli 7-6 6-4 6-1 to advance to round two, and banked a guaranteed minimum £112,000 in prize money.
Fery earned a statement win (right) over then-world No.22 Alexei Popyrin at Wimbledon last summer, when Popyrin was the No.20 seed.
And it was the same story in Melbourne, where world No.22 Cobolli was also seeded 20th but became Fery’s latest victim.
