Dales star Louise Jameson on signing new contract

SHE'S proven to be a fan favourite since joining Emmerdale and now Louise Jameson has put pen to paper on a new deal that will keep her in the soap for another year.

The 74-year-old, who plays Rhona's mum, Mary Goskirk, loves being involved with the Yorkshire-based ITV show - despite living in Kent.

But while the long commute is a downside, she at least doesn't have to do it every day, crashing with one of the team while filming.

Former Doctor Who star Louise said: "I'm really thrilled. It's so corny to say this but I feel like it's some sort of gift from the universe to me.
