Pubs offer free tasters to get drinkers into real ale

PUBS will be offering a million free real ale shots this month in a bid to get drinkers into traditional beer.

Around 10,000 venues will each serve 100 "try before you buy" tasters during Cask Ale Week, which runs from September 18 to 28.

A spokeswoman said: "The aim is to tempt Brits back into the habit of visiting their local, as well as to support sales of Britain's signature beer style.
