Boozed-up backpacker killed father-of-two

A BRIT backpacker who killed a dad-of-two by mowing him down on an e-scooter following a daytime pub crawl in Australia has been jailed for four years.

Alicia Kemp, 25, was more than three times the legal alcohol limit when she hit 51-year-old Thanh Phan from behind in Perth.

The psychology student had started drinking with friends at 2.30pm on May 31, continuing at several venues.

After her group was refused entry to a pub, Kemp took a friend on an e-scooter joyride and struck Mr Phan, who was walking home from dinner, at 8.30pm.
