BO'S KO SPOILS HUGE VICTORY FOR BRONCOS

BO NIX led Denver to within one game of the Super Bowl - before being ruled out for the season an hour later.

The second-year quarterback helped the Broncos to a thrilling 33-30 overtime victory against the Buffalo Bills, eclipsing opposite number and league MVP Josh Allen.

But head coach Sean Payton revealed his young star will have surgery tomorrow and take no further part in the campaign after breaking his right ankle just seconds before the end of Denver's dramatic win.

“He's a tough cookie,” Payton said of Nix.

“I said, ‘Listen, I believe, you're the second quarterback in year two to take your team to a Championship Game, and the first is (Patrick) Mahomes.

“This team has lost key players all year, and we'll rise up for the next challenge and we'll go from there.”
