Trump favours Russia in Ukraine talks & tells Zelensky, 'Get your act together'

DONALD Trump has blasted Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky, saying he must “get his act together and start accepting things" if progress is to be made on ending the war with Russia.

The US President claimed Russia holds the “upper hand” in attempts to negotiate a peace deal and, four years into the war, accused Ukraine's European backers of talking too much and failing to deliver the support Kyiv needs.

Mr Trump has centred himself within a renewed diplomatic push, but his 28-point peace proposal has failed to win agreement from either side.

The plan has stalled over irreconcilable demands, particularly on Ukraine relinquishing territory and guarantees against future Moscow aggression.
