BEVAN: MY WARRIORS WILL BE IN THE HUNT

WIGAN'S Bevan French spent his off-season hunting kangaroos - but now switches his sights to big game Leopards.

The Aussie star is geared up to dazzle Betfred Super League once more when the new season starts tonight.

He lines up for defending champions Wigan as they begin their quest for a third successive title with a huge derby against Leigh.

Electric stand-off French, 29, is refreshed and raring to go after heading home during his off-season break - and revealed that he spent some of his time Down Under hunting kangaroos, which is permitted in some Australian states with a licence.

French said: "My hometown is pretty rural, away from the cities, so I'm usually outdoors. I take myself off, hunting and fishing, and do a lot of that.

"I'll hunt kangaroos, pigs and deer, but mainly kangaroos.
