Bell Hotel protester sentenced

A MAN who kicked a police officer at a protest at The Bell Hotel in Epping has been sentenced to eight weeks in jail, suspended for 12 months.

Jimmy Hillard, 52, of Loughton, Essex, admitted assaulting the officer after he had been asked to move along on Friday at 9.20pm.
