Star warns trendy fruit is bad for environment
AVOCADOS may be a trendy superfood, but Alan Titchmarsh is urging people to ditch them due to their environmental impact.
The TV gardening expert said we should instead choose Cornflakes or Weetabix to save the planet.
He added: “Most avocados sold in the UK are grown where the rainforest has been felled at an alarming rate to plant them.
