A bomb was coming and I said 'This is it'

ADOLPH Kuhn was 96 when he told the BBC about the day when, aged 20, and working as a mechanic for the US Navy in Pearl Harbor, he saw the attack.

He said: "Two sailors came along in a Model A Ford, and said, 'Get in, Mac, we're at war'. The bullets came down all around the car. Not a bullet hit us.

"I looked ahead and a Marine got his head blown off... I got out and [ran] to my boat landing. The boat docks were all on fire.
