It all happened in the Board Room of NKAR during a chit chat post management team meeting.

The idea was brought in by the Chairman/ Managing Director himself to embark on an event celebrating the 45th year of NKAR whilst contributing towards a worthy cause.
Out of many suggestions that spun off, the most favoured by all was a contribution to Apeksha Hospital in Maharagama. It was embraced by the Chair, Nilmin Nanayakkara and the rest knew the story behind it, as his wife passed away exactly 8 years ago of cancer.
