The Day of the Seafarer, established by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), is more than just a date on the calendar. It is a moment to recognize the sacrifice, dedication, and resilience of those who navigate oceans, often unseen, to keep supply chains running smoothly.

In 2025, the campaign adopts a bold and necessary theme: “My Harassment-Free Ship.” This initiative aims to cast a spotlight on a deeply rooted issue in the maritime industry—harassment, bullying, and discrimination at sea. It’s a call to action for all stakeholders in the maritime sector to take concrete steps in making life at sea safer, more inclusive, and fundamentally respectful.
