Adithya and Keya win Gold segment

Sixteen year old, Adithya Weerasinghe originally from Anuradapura now studying at Ananda College accounted for the Gold segment in the age group 15 to 18 plus segment at the Nuwara Eliya Regional Junior Golf Championship which took place from November 21 to 23 at the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club (NEGC).

In the Gold Division boys (15-18 years), Adithya Weerasinghe dominated from start to finish, carding rounds of 73, 79 and 72 for a total of 224 to secure the title.

Kaiyan Johnpillai followed as runner-up with a consistent 231, maintaining pressure throughout the tournament.

The Gold Division girls saw a strong performance from Keya Abhayaratne who posted 97, 95 and 95 to top the leaderboard with 287.

Close behind was Anumi Karunathilake who claimed second place on 293 after a gritty final round.
