ASIA'S 50 Best Bars has once again recognised Sri Lanka, thanks to Smoke & Bitters climbing an astonishing 15 spots to number 14 this year and Raa, two bars co-owned by Sri Lankan entrepreneurs Don Ranasinghe and Lahiru Perera, now among the Top 100 bars in Asia.
The bars, both located in the coastal town of Hiriketiya, are the only Sri Lankan venues featured on the prestigious 2025 list, which is voted on by a panel of 250 of the most knowledgeable and well-travelled members of the Asian bar industry.
With this recognition, Don and Lahiru have also achieved the rare feat of having two establishments belonging to the same owners ranked in the Top 100 in the same year.
