Reshan bounces back to take lead by single stroke

SECOND day of the Kandy Regional Junior Open Golf Championship 2025 at the Victoria Golf Resort at Rajawella produced thrilling battle with Reshan Algama over taking Jevahn Sathasivam by a single stroke end of Day 2 yesterday.

In the Boys Gold division (15 to 18 years), Reshan Algama went ahead with rounds of 73 and 70 for a total of 143, just one stroke behind was Jevahn Sathasivam who carded 71 and 73 for an aggregate of 144 keeping the contest finely balanced.
Jevahn was the leader on Day 1 and both top class juniors go in to the third day today with a tight contest on the final days clash at Rajawella.
In the Girls gold division, Keya Abhayaratne with two rounds of 88 and 85 was the leader while Sithara Lorance was placed second with two rounds of 92 and 85.
