Prime Minister meets Sri Lanka National Women's Cricket Team

A special meeting between the members of the Sri Lanka National Women’s Cricket Team and Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya was held last week at Temple Trees.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister engaged in a cordial discussion with the members of the Sri Lanka National Women’s Cricket Team and asked about their preparations for the ongoing ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup tournament.
The Prime Minister also inquired the players’ views regarding the responsibilities that the Government should undertake for the betterment of women’s cricket and the overall development of the sport.
