People's Bank, one of the Sri Lanka's leading banks, is once again celebrating World Thrift Day, which falls on 31st October every year.

The bank encourages all Sri Lankans, and especially its valued customers, to adopt financial thriftiness by providing them with the knowledge and support they need to increase their savings habits.

Sharing her thoughts on this, People's Bank Deputy General Manager - Retail Banking and Overseas Customer Services Aruni Liyanagunawardana stated:
