THE Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) officially launched the 60th Anniversary TAGS Awards 2025 at a press conference held in Colombo, marking a historic milestone in the country’s corporate reporting landscape.
-
Under the theme “Diamond Chapter: The Grand Honour of Excellence”, this year’s competition reflects six decades of unwavering commitment in exemplifying Transparency, Accountability, Governance, and Sustainability (TAGS) in corporate reporting among Sri Lankan organisations, including multinationals, conglomerates, and SMEs, for their continued efforts to uphold the highest standards in both financial and non-financial reporting.
Addressing the press conference in Colombo on 14 July, CA Sri Lanka President Heshana Kuruppu formally announced that applications for the TAGS Awards 2025 will open on 15 July 2025 and close on 15 August. Organisations can submit their applications either online or via paper-based forms. Further details and access to the application portal are available at: https://tags.casrilanka. com.
Also present at the event from CA Sri Lanka were Vice President Tishan Subasinghe, TAGS Awards Committee Chairperson Chamila Cooray, Committee Alternate Chairperson Nishani Perera, Chief Executive Officer Lakmali Priyangika, and, on behalf of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), Chairman Dimuthu Abeyesekera, Chief Executive Officer Rajeeva Bandaranaike, and Chief Executive Officer Designate Vindhya Jayasekara. During the event, the CSE also officially came on board as the Strategic Partner of the TAGS Awards 2025.
A key highlight of the press conference was the official unveiling of the TAGS Awards 2025 logo, especially designed to mark the 60th anniversary. The logo symbolises strength, precision, and enduring value, much like a diamond.
