THE Annual Softball Cricket Tournament organised by the Sri Lanka Food Processors Association (SLFPA) was held on 15 March at the Colombo Colts Cricket Club Ground.

37 teams comprising both men and women, playing together from 30 member companies, vied for the SLFPA Challenge Shield. The tournament was conducted on a league basis. It was helpful in creating a high degree of interaction, relationship, understanding, and fellowship among the employees of the participating member companies.
The participant company teams represented the following categories - Processed Food, Processed Beverages, Machinery and Packaging, International Food Certification, Food Ingredients, and Casual Dining.
