DANIEL LEVY says he will only get the credit he deserves when he is no longer in charge of Tottenham.

Levy cites overseeing the building of the new £1billion Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as one of the reasons he will be remembered fondly.

He became Spurs chairman in 2001 but has been a controversial and often unpopular figure with fans.

Levy oversaw a long period without winning a trophy, until Spurs ended their 17-year drought by beating Manchester United in this year’s Europa League final.

He has hired and fired 13 managers and allowed some of the club’s biggest stars to be sold. He sacked Ange Postecoglou, the head coach who won him that Europa League trophy in May.
