The Scout tops Racing Post chart of best national experts

DAILY Express horse racing ace Melissa Jones has told of her pride after beating all her national newspaper rivals in the Racing Post’s prestigious tipping table.

Melissa, 38, who has held the position of our chief tipster The Scout since 2022, was ahead of all her 56 national and local press rivals going into the final day of the Racing Post Daily competition on Saturday.

This was thanks to a series of brilliant winners, including her 22/1 “nap” — or best bet — Gracchus De Balme at the Aintree Festival earlier this month.

She was only pipped at the post for the overall title when the Jersey Evening Post’s Rory Paddock pulled out an 8/1 winner.
