PLAYING to the gallery after returning to his Scottish homeland, thespian and ex-Labour luvvie Brian Cox, pictured, takes irate aim at “Little Englander” Sir Keir Starmer, raging: “I’m not pleased with Mr Starmer and his attitude towards Scotland, because everything for him is England.”

Currently starring in James Graham’s play Make It Happen in his home city of Dundee, Cox adds of the Prime Minister: “He talks about England, he talks about English football...I’m sick of it really, I’m fed up.”

Mind you, the PM can hardly have enjoyed watching England’s misfiring footballers of late.

THREE divorces down, John Cleese blames mother Muriel for marital woes, insisting: “I developed an ingrained habit of walking on eggshells when dealing with her. If you start life like that, you're likely to make bad choices with women when you're an adult.”
