No-frills Stuart is now on song to be England prop idol

WILL STUART revealed he is making up for lost time after going from bit-part player to prop idol and Lions contender since the 2023 World Cup.

The Bath forward has finally nailed down England's tighthead jersey by starting the past nine Tests since the second game of the summer tour of New Zealand last July.

The 28-year-old made his debut as a replacement against France in 2020 but was mostly a bench bunny until the recent run, with Kyle Sinckler and Dan Cole dominating the position.

With Sinckler, right, in France, and Cole moved on, Stuart has made the shirt his own by keeping his head down and doing what is in a tighthead's job description, with nothing too flash.
