Bear leads Big Help Out volunteering drive

- Giles Sheldrick

We're helping to create stronger communities and that benefits us all

ADVENTURER Bear Grylls is ready to lead the biggest volunteering drive in UK history and insists it will show Britain is full of positivity.

The former SAS trooper has been preparing for the King Charlesbacked Big Help Out.

Millions of people will give up their time between Friday and Sunday to take part in events to make themselves and their communities proud.

And Bear, 49, insists the "kindness revolution" will show that life is better when we help other people.

The TV presenter and Chief Scout said: "By playing our part, we're helping create stronger, closer communities, and that benefits us all. When we look out for others, they look out for us.

"It's about the power of positivity. Some say we're a nation of grumblers, but that's not my experience. In 15 years as Chief Scout, I've seen the best this country has to offer."
