THE former manager of a small PR agency has claimed there were attempts to cover-up and minimise the horrors of the Rotherham child sex abuse scandal.

Elizabeth Hudson had just launched her firm, Cream, when Rotherham Council commissioned its help, two weeks before the release of Professor Alexis Jay's report on the abuse of 1,500 girls.

She believes her relatively new, small Barnsleybased firm was chosen as it "wouldn't have the skills, capacity or expertise" required.
