REBEKAH Vardy must pay Coleen Rooney £1.4million in legal costs following their highprofile “Wagatha Christie” libel battle, a judge has said.

The footballers’ wives have been in dispute over costs since Rebekah lost her case against Coleen at the High Court in 2022.

The wife of Leicester City and England star Jamie Vardy had sued her rival for libel after Coleen accused her of leaking private information about her to the press in 2019.

The judge found the claim was “substantially true” and Rebekah was ordered to pay much of Coleen’s legal costs.

Difficult

Yesterday a specialist costs court was told that Rebekah had agreed to pay £1,190,000 of Coleen’s legal bill.
