VAN REVVED UP TO REPAY BOSS

MICKY VAN DE VEN insists his decision to walk off the pitch after Tottenham's frustrating 1-0 defeat to Chelsea was nothing against Thomas Frank.

The Dutchman, who netted an incredible solo goal on Tuesday night in Spurs' 4-0 Champions League demolition of Copenhagen, has now put the issue firmly to bed after both he and Djed Spence apologised to Frank in his office on Sunday.

The 24-year-old said: "It's the past, so I don't want to make it bigger than it is.

"Djed and I walked off, we were just frustrated after the game. It was nothing big.

"Everyone thinks it was the gaffer, there was nothing to do with the gaffer. We were frustrated after the game because of a bad performance, from myself as well.
